Highly Sprung were asked to look at engaging Years 2,3 and 4 in creative writing within their current school topic: the Victorians and multi-culturalism.
Each and every student explored the different aspects of the Victorians from a physical sensory and emotional perspective. Kicking off with a fantastic impersonation of a Victorian headmaster.
An inspection from the head teacher meant the childrens’ imaginations were engaged fully, right through to the end presentation of a ‘creative’ version of Rudyard Kipling’s, Jungle Book.
With day long workshops the children were allowed to really emerge themselves in the project and enjoy the idea of creative writing on a topic.
“ Words were written on the board and on pieces of lining paper that were scattered across classrooms and the hall. It allowed total freedom when writing and gave the students a safe environment to write down ideas and explore possibilities.”

“It was fantastic to see ALL of the youngsters being so creative” -Parent
