PALs, presented by Sprungsters, is an emotional and dynamic performance in commemoration of WW1 combining dance and raw physicality to explore the true stories of the PALs regiments from Coventry and Warwickshire, and the experiences of young people at war.
PALs follows the story of a group of Coventry friends whose friendship is tested and torn apart by their experiences of war. Told from the perspective of a conscientious objector PALs examines the impact of the war on the lives of the young people who gave up everything for King and country.
Sprungsters is a performance group directed by Highly Sprung for Coventry’s most talented young physical performers. Sprungsters offers weekly classes for young people combining drama, speech and movement to produce a very physical approach to theatre making.
PALs was presented in 2014 and 2018 at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry and in April 2018 at Coventry Cathedral as part of the Plumbline Festival marks 100 years of the Diocese and the cathedral.
