We like nothing better than an excuse to give a shout out to the incredible and inspirational team we work with and International Women's Day gives us a chance to celebrate all the brilliant women we work with and who invest in making Highly Sprung what it is...
We are lucky to work with so many fantastic women, working across many different aspects and all levels of the company.
Keeping a close eye on Highly Sprung's development as leaders in physical performance with and for children and young people and
leading the strategy and business side of the company we are proud to be led by a team of experienced and passionate women: our executive director Sarah and our Board Members Claire, Amanda & Jo all offer unique perspectives on Highly Sprung's ambitious and often challenging programmes of work.
Zoe is Highly Sprung's amazing administrator who's organisation of the core team and attention to detail on every project always leaves us in awe.
Within our core artist team we employ a creative and inspirational team of women who regularly lead on projects in schools, like our One Giant Leap project- Emily, Jess & Sarah R. We also work with a pool of female performers who's talents help make our work so successful - Claire, Anna, Kathryn & Daisy who have all worked as part of Urban Astronaut, Roots and our various Walkabout projects on tour.
We also get the chance to work with fantastic female production managers, Emily, Madeleine & Elizah, as well as brilliant creatives, like Maz & Nicola from Vortex Creates, and Deb from Entify.
Our team of fantastic volunteers includes women who devote their free time and give up their talent to support our work with young people - Cheryl on work placement, our chaperones (Auntie Dizzy) Liz, Donna, Jessi and our biggest supporter Christal.
There are so many wonderful women working across Coventry, and we are so privileged that we have chance to collaborate with them on a regular basis, women like- Jane & Kathi at Imagineer Productions, Trish Willets at Coventry BID, Janet Maletesta at Coventry Refugee & Migrant Centre and Jacqui Ibbotson at Coventry 2021 to name just a few (there are so many others we could mention!)
We have some exciting future projects in the pipeline, which will benefit from working with female leaders in their field, like our upcoming project with with Vicki Amedume at Upswing Aerial (announcement coming soon) and Amy Bertuat from Shrewsbury Folk Festival. [Join our mailing list to hear more about these!]
We work with thousands of children and young people each year and hope that the women we partner will inspire new generations of female arts leaders, all equipped with the confidence and self-belief that they can achieve their ambitions and we can't wait to see what all those young people will become - the future is theirs!
